During the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, we were able to give out over 70 boxes of food along with $20 Rouses gift cards for groceries. In January, COVID struck our Outreach team members, and unfortunately we were not able to put together food boxes or offer financial assistance. Instead, we were able to distribute $40 Rouses gift cards to help families within our Parish.
We are very thankful for all the support provided by our parishioners and school in the past year. It is with your help, donations, etc., that we are able to provide assistance to those in need.
Out of an abundance of caution and for the safety of our staff, due to COVID, our Outreach Program is currently suspended. We will reopen the program when it is safe to do so per local regulations, although, we continue to operate the Food Pantry.
We welcome food donations, which may be placed in the foyer of the Church or brought directly to the rectory. We are especially in need of spaghetti and meat sauce, beans and rice, pasta, rice mixes, cans of tuna, and also chicken, gravy in packs or bottles, and drink mixes—such as tea bags, kool-aid, hot chocolate, crystal light, and lemonade. Please remember to check expiration dates as we are not able to distribute items that are out of date.
Your generosity is always appreciated especially by those in our parish who need help with food and assistance. If you are in need of a box of food or know anyone in need of food, please come to the rectory. Thank you and may God bless us all during this COVID pandemic.
Sincerely,
The Outreach Program Team
